What is Half Christmas?

Half Christmas is an annual tradition celebrating the half-way point to the Christmas holiday. The event was started by Christmas-fanatics around the world who love Christmas so much that they decided to celebrate it twice a year, six months apart. Half Christmas is celebrated on June 25th and includes ugly Christmas sweater parties, white elephant gift exchanges, watching Christmas movies and television shows, and much more. 

A major growth in this annual "holiday" can be attributed to the show Workaholics on the Comedy Central network. During their first season on air, the trio of best friends and co-workers demanded their workplace recognize Half Christmas as holiday, which didn't necessarily go as planned.
