When is National History Day in 2015?

The dates of National History Day in 2015, which has grown to cover several days as part of a national history competition, are Sunday, June 14th through Thursday, June 18th. 

What is National History Day?

National History Day, sometimes referred to as NHD, was created by Professor David Van Tassel in April 1974 on the Case Western Reserve University campus in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. Prof Tassel was inspired to create such a day because he was extremely worried about the declining importance placed on humanities in general, and specifically history, in American schools. His hopes for National History Day were that it would reinvigorate and bring life back to the teaching and learning of history in schools across the United States.
