The dates of Coachella 2016 will most likely be hosted on two consecutive weekends in the middle of April. The official dates are:
Weekend 1 Dates: Friday, April 15th - Sunday, April 17th
Weekend 2 Dates: Friday, April 22nd - Sunday, April 24th
The 2016 Lineup will include the following artists:
FRIDAY - LCD Soundsystem (headliner), Ellie Goulding, Sujan Steven,s Jack U, M83, Underworld, The Kills, Foals, Of Monsters and Men, G-Eazy, Lord Huron, and many more.
SATURDAY - Guns N' Roses (headliner), Ice Cube, Discolsure, Zedd, A$AP Rocky, CHVRCHES, Hasley, James Bay, Grimes, Gary Clark Jr, Silversun Pickups, Lush, Deerhunter, and lots more.
SUNDAY - Calvin Harris (headliner), Sia, Major Lazer, Flume, BEach House, The 1975, Rancid, Miike Snow, Matt and Kim, Chris Stapleton, Cold War Kids, The Chainsmokers, Baauer, and many more.

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is a 3 day festival incorporating music and art that is organized by Goldenvoice and hosted at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California (near Palm Springs). The festival is referred to by several names, the most common being Coachella, Coachellafest, or Coachella Festival. The festival was founded in 1999 by Paul Tollett of Goldenvoice, which is a subsidiary of AEG Live (Anschutz Entertainment Group). AEG Live has quickly become the world's second largest promoter for live shows.
Coachella includes musical performances from artists in multiple different genres, including rock, hip-hop, indie, rap, and electronic as well as pieces of sculpture. The performances are hosted on stages throughout the venue but the main stages are the Coachella Stage, Outdoor Theater, Gobi Tent, Mojave Tent, and the Sahara Tent.
Some of the most well-known artists to perform at Coachella include Kanye West, Dr. Dre, MGMT, The White Stripes, Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg, Prince, Madonna, The Black Keys, the Beastie Boys, Muse, and The Red Hot Chili Peppers.
