What is Half Christmas?

Half Christmas is an annual tradition celebrating the half-way point to the Christmas holiday. The event was started by Christmas-fanatics around the world who love Christmas so much that they decided to celebrate it twice a year, six months apart.  Half Christmas is celebrated on June 25th and includes ugly Christmas sweater parties, white elephant gift exchanges, watching Christmas movies and television shows, and much more. 

A major growth in the annual "holiday" can be attributed to the show Workaholics on Comedy Central. During their first season on air, the trio of best friends and co-workers demanded their workplace recognize Half Christmas as holiday, which didn't necessarily go as planned.
