The date of International Men's Day in 2015 is on Thursday, November 19th. 

What is International Men’s Day?

International Men’s Day is dedicated to recognizing the role of men in society and their positive contributions. The day is also an opportunity to raise awareness and provide education about men’s health and wellbeing and to celebrate positive male role models. The day was originally created by a professor in Kansas (Thomas Oaster). The idea was later picked up in other countries, including Trinidad, Tobago, and Malta, with some nations celebrating a Men’s Day in February.

Today, many countries around the world recognize this informal holiday on November 19th as a time to facilitate discussion of topics that concern men. Conversations revolve around health, marriage, fatherhood, societal expectations, discrimination, and gender relations. Conferences, seminars, festivals, peaceful demonstrations, and special church services often mark the occasion.
