The Winter Olympics is the ultimate winter sporting event on an international stage that occurs every four years. The original Winter Olympics happened in 1924 when it was hosted in Chamonix, France. The original Winter Olympic events were cross country skiing, figure skating, hockey, ski jumping, speed skating, and the Nordic combined (combined cross country skiing and ski jumping).
