This event is the 49th edition of the NFL Championship and will air on the NBC network. The 2015 Pro Bowl will also be played at the same stadium one week earlier.

The Super Bowl is the annual championship of the National Football League (NFL). The NFL consists of two conferences, the American Football Conference (AFC) and the National Football Conference (NF) and the Super Bowl hosts the two conference winners in the ultimate NFL championship, the Super Bowl. The winner of the Super Bowl receives the Vince Lombardi Trophy, named after the hall of fame coach from the Green Bay Packers.
During the regular NFL season, each team competes in 16 games with the top six teams in each conference making the playoffs. There are three weeks of playoffs before the winner of each conference is determined and earns a spot in the NFL Super Bowl. The winning team is crowned the NFL Champions. Winning a Super Bowl Championship is the ultimate goal for any NFL player or coach.
