When is Coachella in 2015?

Coachella 2015 dates will be hosted on two consecutive weekends in the middle of April. Estimated dates:

Weekend 1 Dates: Friday, April 10th - Sunday, April 12th

Weekend 2 Dates: Friday, April 17th - Sunday, April 19th

The 2015 Coachella Lineup includes, but is not limited, to AC/DC, alt-J, Interpol, Alesso, Nero, Jack White, the Weeknd, Ratatat, Hozier, Florence & the Machine, Drake, Kaskade, Ryan Adams, and David Guetta.

Presale tickets typically become available in May the year prior. For 2015, the tickets went on presale on May 16th, 2014. Ticket payment plans are available. More information can be found on the official website.

What is Coachella ?

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, typically referred to as simply Coachella, is a 3 day festival incorporating music and art that is organized by Goldenvoice and hosted at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California (near Palm Springs). The festival is referred to by several names, the most common being Coachella, Coachellafest, or Coachella Festival. The festival was founded in 1999 by Paul Tollett of Goldenvoice, which is a subsidiary of AEG Live (Anschutz Entertainment Group). AEG Live has quickly become the world's second largest promoter for live shows.

The 2015 Coachella artist lineup was announced on Tuesday, January 6th. The three headliners are AC/DC (Friday), Jack White (Saturday), and Drake (Sunday). Other popular artists performing at Coachella Festival in 2015 will be:

Friday: Nero, Porter Robinson, Tame Impala, Raekwon and Ghostface Kilah, and Interpol.
Saturday: The Weeknd, Axwell, alt-J, Belle and Sebastian, Ratatat, Hozier, Tyler the Creator, and Tycho.
Sunday: Florence and the Machine, Kaskade, Ryan Adams, David Guetta, and Madeon.

Coachella includes musical performances from artists in multiple different genres, including rock, hip-hop, indie, rap, and electronic as well as pieces of sculpture. The performances are hosted on stages throughout the venue but the main stages are the Coachella Stage, Outdoor Theater, Gobi Tent, Mojave Tent, and the Sahara Tent.

Some of the most well-known artists to perform at Coachella include Kanye West, Dr. Dre, MGMT, The White Stripes, Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg, Prince, Madonna, The Black Keys, the Beastie Boys, Muse, Eminem, and The Red Hot Chili Peppers.
