What is PAX Prime?

PAX (Penny Arcade Expo) Prime was created in 2004 by Penny Arcade out a need for a show dedicated solely on the culture and community of gaming. There were shows for comics and anime and other related topics but there was a building demand for a strictly gaming show. Over 4,500 attended PAX, meaning Penny Arcade Expo, in the first year in Bellevue, Washington and the attendance has doubled each year since.

Beginning in 2010, the event sold out of every year and as a result PAX East in Boston, Massachusetts was created; 10,000+ people attended the first year PAX event in Boston. Currently, PAX Prime and PAX East represent the 2 largest gaming shows in North America.
