What is Summer X Games?

The Summer X Games is an annual extreme sports competition that is hosted each and every summer. After being founded in 1995, where it was located in newport, Rhode Island, the X Games have become the biggest extreme sports event in the world. Currently, ESPN controls and managed the competition as the games are aired on the various ESPN channels as well as on their sister television network, ABC. Opposite of the summer event is the Winter X Games event.
