When is Warped Tour in 2014?

Warped Tour 2014 will kick off on a Saturday in the middle of June, most likely on June 14th. 

What is Warped Tour?

 

The Warped Tour is an annual music and extreme sports festival that tours the United States, Canada, and the UK. Vans Skate Shoes has been the main sponsor of the Warped Tour since 1995 and the event has become known as the Vans Warped Tour. Originally the touring music festival mainly featured punk rock music but has expanded in recent years to feature hardcore, pop punk, metalcore, and street punk acts. A typical event showcases 100+ bands performing 30-minute shows on approximately 10 different stages. The concert days typically start at 11 AM and end by 9 PM. Besides the concerts, the Warped Tour includes a half-pipe for skateboarders and bikers to showcase their talents as well as a large market place where bands and sponsors can sell/promote their merchandise. It is common occurance for band members to visit their market booths to meet with their fans and sign autographs and take pictures. 

Kevin Lyman is the man credited with creating the Warped Tour in 1994. The Vans Warped Tour expanded internationally in 1998 when the tour included events in Australia, Japan, and Canada. 2012 Marked the first time the tour left North America when it travelled to London, England. THe Warped Tour is scheduled to return to Australia in December 2013.
