The Rock 'n' Roll Marathon is a marathon and half-marathon race held every year in San Diego, CA. Originally founded as a marathon foot-race in 1998, a half-marathon edition was added in 2010 and the two races combine for over 20,000 runners every single. Since its inception, over $100 has been raised for charities and the race is currently ran to benfit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Current course records are: Men's Marathon - Philip Tarus (Kenya) 2:08:33; Women's Marathon - Bizunesh Deba (Ethiopia) 2:23:31; Men's Half-Marathon - Bernard Koech (Kenya) 58:41; Women's Half-Marathon - Kim Smith (New Zealand) 1:08:37.
