What is Running of the Bulls?

Running of the Bulls is an annual tradition in Spain that involves a group of people running in front of a small group of bulls through a small, santioned-off course of a city. The most well-known running of the bulls event is part of the seven-day festival of Sanfermines in Palplona, Spain, although there are various other cities throughout Spain, Portugal, Mexico, and France that hold their own running of the bulls event. 

The origin of the Running of the Bulls event comes from the need to transport the bulls from their corrals outside the city to the bullright inside the city. Young boys would run and jump among the running bulls in attempts to show their bravery.
