What is National Pie Day?

National Pie Day, not to be confused with Pi Day that is celebrated on March 14th, is annually celebrated on January 23rd. This special day was created in the 1970's by Charlie papazian, a teacher in Boulder, Colorado, USA that declared his own birthday to be National Pie Day. Celebrations for this fun day include pie making, pie eating, talking about pies, and anything and everything else pie related including pie eating competitions.
