When is Passover in 2017?

The dates of Passover in 2017 will begin on Monday, April 10th and will continue for seven days until Tuesday, April 18th. However, in the United States Passover ends one day later so in USA the holiday period ends on Wednesday, April 19th. 

What is Passover?

Passover begins on the 15th day of the Jewish month of Nisan. Passover lasts for eight days and celebrates the Israelites' freedom from slavery in Egypt. Within the Jewish tradition, holidays begin with the sundown of the previous day so the Passover celebration actually begins at the sunset of the day prior.
