Oktoberfest is the largest annual funfair in the world that is hosted in Munich, Bavaria, Germany and was founded in 1810. The festival lasts for 16-days every year, beginning in late September and running through the first weekend of October, with more than 6-million people visiting from around the world. The locals actually refer to the event as "Wiesn," which is short for the fairground's name of Theresienwiese.
