What is National Day? | |
National Day is observed on October 1 in China. On this day, Tiananmen Square in Beijing hosts a large celebration that includes the raising of the national flag and a parade of soldiers. In 1999, the Chinese government combined the National Day celebration with two weekends, giving the Chinese people a week long vacation, known as National Day Week.
