Mawlid al-Nabi is a great day for Muslims to all come together to do the good deeds solely for their love of Allaah (God) and His Messenger. I just wanted to comment that in the explanation you have "What is Mawlid al-Nabi? you state "It celebrates the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad, who founded Islam." The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, is not the founder of Islam. All the Prophets, may God raise their ranks, came with the same message to believe in One God who has no Partners in Godhood, who does not resemble the creation or need the creation in any way and to believe in the Prophet of your time. We are in the time of the Prophet Muhammad now, who is the last of God's Prophets, so that is why we love him and follow his teachings which were revelation from God. We love all the prophets and messengers of God from Adam, Noah, Moses, Jesus, Muhammad and all the ones in between. The path of the Prophets is the best path to live your life on and it is the path that makes a person successful in this life and in the hereafter. I just wanted to clarify for people who do not understand this. |
