What is Exit Festival?

The Exit Festival is a summer-time music festival held annually in Novi Sad, Serbia. The venue is the imposing Petrovaradin Fortress which features a famous clock tower and many underground tunnels. The event won an award as the "Best Major European festival" in 2014, ranking first out of 360 events in more than 30 countries. The festival first began as a student activist movement in 2000 in support of democracy. The non-profit organization that runs the event today maintains a strong mission for social change. Over the years, the festival has been attended by more than 2.5 million visitors. In 2014, the venue maxed out its capacity, holding an audience of 35,000 for a performance by The Prodigy. Other acts that have appeared at the Exit Festival include Faithless, Hardwell, Motorhead, John Newman, and Milky Chance.
