When is Electric Daisy Carnival in 2014?

The dates of EDC 2014 in Las Vegas is scheduled for Friday, June 21st through Sunday, June 23rd. 

The other 2014 Electric Daisy Festivals will be held in New York, Chicago, London (UK), and Puerto Rico between May and November. EDC United Kingdom date is July 12th. 

EDC tickets typically go on sale in early January of the same year. 

What is Electric Daisy Carnival?

The Electric Daisy Carnival, better known simply as as EDC, is a mega international electronic dance music festival that is annually held during the summertime (June-August) in the United States and Puerto Rico. EDC was originally founded by Insomniac Events in 1997 as a one day electronic dance music festival in Los Angeles but has since then has been held in various venues in California, Colorado, Nevada, Florida, New Jersey, New York, Texas, and Puerto Rico. The genre of electronic dance festival is also known as dance music, club music, or simply EDM. Electronic dance music is very popular among the dance club scene. EDM started gaining traction in the late 1980s and early 1990s. 

The most popular EDC event has been EDC Las Vegas where 230,000+ and 300,000+ showed up for the 2011 and 2012 three-day event, respectively. In 2014, over 400,000 tickets were sold with over 1,000 acts performing.   

EDC has become the most popular North American electronic dance music festival. The only continent to feature larger electronic dance music festivals is Europe. 

Some of the biggest artists to be featued at EDC include Benny Benassi, will.i.am, Nero, Steve Angello, Steve Aoki, SKrillex, Bassnectar, Dada life, Zed's Dead, Swedish House Mafia, Avicii, Nicky Romero, Afrojack, and Kaskade.
