Daylight Savings Time, or DST, begins on the second Sunday of March and ends on the first Sunday of November.  In March, clocks are moved forward one hour from 2am standard time to 3am DST, and in November, clocks are moved back one hour from 2am DST to 1am standard time.  The phrase "spring forward, fall back" is a helpful reminder of these time changes.

Pittheus says: October 24, 2014

Business companies want Daylight Savings Time, because they believe more people will by from them if employees have an hour more of daylight after they leave their jobs after noon. Those business companies should change their business hours instead of requiring almost every clock in the United States to be changed twice a year.

Wish we all used UTC without local time. Although I live in Alabama, I spent 2 years with my watch on Zulu and calculated in my head. Would rather just be the same all the time.

who is so wise and has all the wisdom to keep changing the starting and ending time from year to year. And what have we gained or saved by using it.
