day finder What is Daylight Savings? day finder

Daylight Savings Time, or DST, begins on the second Sunday of March and ends on the first Sunday of November.  In March, clocks are moved forward one hour from 2am standard time to 3am DST, and in November, clocks are moved back one hour from 2am DST to 1am standard time.  The phrase "spring forward, fall back" is a helpful reminder of these time changes.

softshoe says: February 8, 2013

Move the time forward one half hour in March and stop. Getting dark at 5 pm in the winter is depressing.

John Schaar says: February 6, 2013

If we went on daylight savings time all the time, and we all saved an hour a day, at the end of the year we would have added 15 days to the length of our lives, which we could all then take as extra vacation. Or, if we didn't spen what we saved for like 75 years, we could use it at the end to prolong our lives about 3 years more. What a great idea!

I glad i can sleep in that day

Godsent says: January 30, 2013

I wished that we could keep daylight savings time on the East Coast.

old man says: January 17, 2013

I would change the clocks by 1/2 hour and then leave then like that forever.

TimeandTimeAgain says: January 8, 2013

I don't understand why we STOP daylight savings anymore. To change the clocks just over 3 months seems silly to me. Why not leave it year round?

jeff R says: January 2, 2013

It sucks! There is absolutely no need for it anymore except to depress the crap out of people.
