What is Billboard Music Awards?

The Billboard Music Awards Show is an annual awards show that awards musical talents with the Billboard Music Award for "outstanding chart performance." Founded in 1989, the Billboard Music Awards have been held every year except for the years 2007-2011 when the show went dormant. The winners of the Billboard Music Award is not determined by voting but rather by the year-end chart performance of a song according to data of sales, number of downloads and total airplay within the United States.
