What is International Beer Day? | ![]() |
International Beer Day is an annual holiday on August 1st that celebrates the most popular cold beverage of all-time. This special day is all about hanging out with your family and friends as you enjoy your favorite brews. It is also a popular time to give the gift of beer to friends, family, neighbors, coworkers, and any one else you think deserves a cold one. It is also a great excuse to enjoy all of your favorite beers, both domestic and imported.
International Beer Day was founded in Santa Cruz, CA in 2007. Since then, this special day has grown to be celebrated in 207 cities in 50 countries across 6 continents. Beer Day was created in order to (1) enjoy the taste of beer with family and friends, (2) celebrate and honor the individuals tasked with brewing and serving the beverage, and (3) to bring the world together in the name of beer.
It is important to note that this holiday is different than National Beer Day, which is celebrated only in the United States on April 7th.
