What is Administrative Professionals' Day? | ![]() |
The term Administrative Professionals' Day, sometimes referred to as Secretaries Day or Administrative Assistant Day, refers to the unoffocial secular holiday that celebrates and honors administrative assistants, secretaries, receptionists, book keepers, and other administrative professionals for all the hard work and dedication they constantly display.
The day is usually celebrated on the Wednesday that is part of the final full-week in the month of April. That entire week is known as Administrative Professionals' Week and is promoted by the International Association of Aministrative Professionals (IAAP). As part of Administrative Professionals Day, it is common for bosses to give their administrative staff flowers, gifts, candy, free lunch, or even give them the entire day off.
